Project Overview

Scuttling of 540 ft x 130 ft drydock structure for BAE Systems in Long Beach, CA.

This project included complete planning, engineering analysis, managment, and labor in order to safely remove a dry dock structure from the South West Marine facility in San Pedro, CA.

The structure was towed a minimum distance of 12 miles off-shore and safely sunk at the designated location utilizing US Naval and US Coast Guard deep water scrapping techniques.  Careful analysis and planning were undertaken to devise the most economic and least time-consuming method of completing this task.
